Frank Biller joined the Virginia Rowing Association as Director of Rowing and Head Coach in August of 2009 with clear goals:

- to raise VMR’s level of national competitiveness to one befitting the program’s enormous potential;
- to develop and implement policies and procedures that enable and ensure long-term success;
- and maintain healthy finances and effective fundraising.

With more than twenty years of experience in rowing at every level of the sport, Frank brings not only a wealth of technical knowledge and experience, but also an international network of rowing resources to the program.

In addition to his experience in rowing, Frank has enjoyed successful careers in banking and finance, and as an international sales manager for Nielsen-Kellerman, the global leader of rowing electronics. In 2004 Frank earned an MBA and MS from Drexel University's LeBow Business School.

As a rowing coach, Frank has coached and mentored athletes from the junior to elite levels in Europe and in the United States. These athletes have won medals at the world championships, as well as at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2008.

Growing up in Switzerland and having traveled the rowing world in a professional capacity, Frank has had the opportunity to study the different systems, styles, and traditions of today's most successful rowing powers.
